To make a vodka infusion, I stuffed fresh flowers (but dried is fine) into a container and covered them with vodka. The jar should remain sealed for 4–6 weeks; then the flowers can be strained out and composted, leaving you with a delicious okra flower vodka.

I didn’t set out to create an okra flower line of drinks, but the flowers have proved themselves wonderful ingredients for that application. It’s a perfect way to capture their essence. By now I hope you’re catching on that I approach everything with open-minded optimism and follow all paths with wide-eyed enthusiasm. It’s a pretty fun approach to life.
